We could not organize the gravel and machinery deliveries for next Sunday 24th (as planned for our “extra” work party) SO IT IS CANCELLED.
Our monthly workparty will start at 10am, meeting in the Scout Hut car park (Southern Road Recreation Ground). We have a range of tasks so please come and help if you can.
This Sunday we will start work on several major projects at Cuttlebrook Nature Reserve, meet at the Scout Hut, Southern Road Recreation Ground car pak (OX9 2DZ) prompt at 10am or find us on Nontron meadow near Oxford Road where we will be using a digger to create a backwater.
We will be at the ‘Red Kite play day’ with a gazebo near the entrance to the reserve. It will be a great family day, and we’ll have stuff for kids to do and promote the Cuttlebrook reserve so do come along and say hello.

Sunday 18th June at 10 am (meet at the Scout car park). It will include our annual meadow plant survey, as well as nettle bashing and water bug sampling
There will actually be two events ; if you are an early riser, we will be holding our annual common-bird survey starting at 5:30am.
Otherwise, our normal Sunday start will be at 10:00am meeting at the Scout Hut car park for what is usually a varied mix of vegetation management, paths maintenance and wildlife monitoring.
Our April Cuttlebrook work party will be a WEEK EARLIER than usual, because Easter is on the 3rd Sunday this month.
We will meet at 10am in the Scout hut car park.
Meet at 10am. Tasks include cutting back the blackthorn and brambles in the “triangle” near the Phoenix Trail, and the usual chemical and invertebrate / bug water-sampling.
